Lenten Bible Reading Plan
PW 38th Annual Spring Gathering
The Presbyterian Women of Presbytery of Charlotte will host their 38th Spring Gathering on Saturday, April 5th at 9:00AM at Bellefonte Presbyterian Church located at 8866 Rocky River Road in Harrisburg NC. The theme is "Let Us Not Become Weary In Doing God's Work". The speaker will be Rev. Sonja McAuley Allen.
Happy Hearts (Senior Group) Paint Party
The Happy Hearts (Senior Group) invite the Seniors of Woodland to participate in a paint party. No previous painting skills required. The cost is $35.00 per person which includes all supplies and a 16 x 20 canvas for you to take home. A lite brunch will be provided.
Come join us Monday, April 14th @ 10:00 in the CFC for fun, fellowship and food. If interested give your name and fee to Nina Adams by Sunday, April 6th
Usher Training/Meeting
Mark your calendars for the next Usher Training/Meeting on the first Sunday in April at 11;30am, or immediately following the morning worship service. Sunday, April 6th, 2025.
Deacons Meeting
The Deacons will meet on the 4th Sunday, March 30th immediately following the morning worship service.
Juneteenth Celebration Skit
Woodland will present a skit in celebration of Juneteenth on Sunday, June 22nd immediately following the morning worship service. More information to come!

Message from Rev. McClain re: Wednesday/Mid-week Bible Study
Dear Woodland Family,
We are doing great work together, and in our efforts to continue to move forward and grow together, we will combine our Wednesday/Mid-Week Service with our regular Sunday School class.
Consequently, there will be NO Wednesday/Mid-Week Service, beginning Wednesday, August 21, 2024, pending our growth curve that puts us in that direction to begin again on Wednesdays.

Our wonderful Evangelism & Outreach Ministry went out to deliver sunshine to our sick & shut-in members last weekend!
Movie Night!
Thanks to everyone who came out to fellowship with our Evangelism & Outreach and Abundant LYFE Ministries at Movie Night! We all thoroughly enjoyed the movie, “The Forge” and its powerful message of discipleship.

A Special Thank You!
Presbyterian Women Moderator, Maggie Morrison would like to thank Rev. McClain for leading the Bible study lesson at Jackson Cafeteria. Thanks to all that came out to support and bring a guest to the meeting. Special thanks to Nina Adams, Penny Gaddy and Michelle Hopkins for their time, talents and treasures. We had a great time in the Lord and looking forward to our next session. The next lesson will be 2024-2025 PW Horizon Bible Study (Let Justice Roll Down) Books will be available. Cost is $10.00 and large print $15.00.

Father’s Day Celebration
Woodland’s Father’s Day celebration was a huge success!
The celebration highlights included the beautiful excerpts from Dr. Rodgery McClain’s books “Father’s Day” and “The Proving Grounds”, the Father’s Day gifts to the Dads of Woodland, the selections from the Men’s choir, and the wonderful photos of Fathers at the photo backdrop!
It was truly a blessing!
16th Annual Joint Pentecost Sunday Service
Celebrating the Sixteenth Annual Pentecost Service between Woodland and Paw Creek Presbyterian Churches.
We honor the graves of enslaved members of Paw Creek Church who died with red carnations.
PW Bible Study
The Presbyterian Women enjoyed a wonderful Bible Study session last Sunday led by Terri Bryant.
Woodland & Paw Creek Reading Program
Keeping the vision and legacy of the late Elder Madge Hopkins alive through the Woodland and Paw Creek Reading Program. Second graders from Paw Creek Elementary are provided extended opportunities to enhance their reading ability.
Members wishing to volunteer as a reading buddy for 2024'-2025 school year should contact Elder Robin Fox.
Bingo @ Saturn Nursing & Rehab Center
Woodland’s Evangelism & Outreach Ministry visited Saturn Nursing & Rehabilitation Center last Saturday to host Bingo games and engage with the residents!
AIDS WALK 2024
Woodland’s Abundant LYFE Ministry participated in RAIN’s 28th Annual AIDS Walk in Uptown Charlotte today! A total of $166,080 was raised in efforts to promote awareness, end stigma, and support those individuals living with HIV.
It was an awesome event and we appreciate all of the support! Our goal is to be in the top 5 of congregational givers next year!

Trip to Nativity According to the Gospels

Thank you for your support for the Summer Enrichment Camp at The Wood! The kids have all enjoyed themselves. As camp comes to its final week, the kids expressed their gratitude for all the helping hands that made Summer Camp at The Wood possible, including The Presbytery of Charlotte and the Session at Paw Creek Presbyterian Church.
